End the Siege… Stop Building the Wall

We, the undersigned Egyptian academics, strongly condemn the siege of Gaza and the steel barrier being built along the borders with Gaza.

In our unequivocal support of national and international campaigns to put an end to the siege of Gaza, we call upon our government to utilize all methods available to support the work of those humanitarian campaigns to end the siege and to open the borders for the aid convoys to Gaza.

We demand that the Egyptian government immediately stop the building of this “Wall of Shame”, which was dictated by Egypt’s “true” enemies, and that it listen to the voice of human conscience and respect international law.
